Tentative Schedule

 

Stable Opens: Friday October 9, 10 am Secretary’s Office Opens: Friday October 9, 12 noon;  Course Walk and Briefings: Friday October 9, 4:30pm  Presentation: On the move. Dressage: Saturday October 10 , 9 am. Marathon: Sunday October 11, 10 am. Cones: Saturday after dressage. Social Events: Welcome reception Friday October 9, 5:30 pm; Competitor’s dinner Saturday evening October 11, 6:30pm. Larry Poulin clinic Monday October 12 will offer individual 45 minute lessons.

Dressage

 

Test(s): Training: Test 2; Preliminary: Test 2; Intermediate: Test 3.

Ring/Warm-up area Footing: Grass / Grass

Other Dressage Info: Proceed to cones after test.

Marathon

 

Terrain: Quite flat( especially for VT) river bottom fields, grass tracks, dirt roads, limited pavement. Possible water crossing. Covered bridges.  Grazing cows may be adjacent to track. Gorgeous fall scenery.

Level: Training; 1 Section Up to 10 km; 5 Obstacles

 

Level: Preliminary; 1 Section; Up to 10 km; 5 Obstacles

Level: Intermediate; 1  Section; Up to 10 Km  6 Obstacles

Other: Only official event motorized vehicles on sections of marathon which are on private land. Violators will be fined. May have mandatory walk segment.  Obstacles are substantial, well built.

Cones

Veterinary/Health Requirements: Negative Coggins within 1 year of show date

Stabling Information: Permanent stalls with doors

Driver/Groom twice around allowed on marathon? (Article 910) YES, if in a different division and only with prior notice, schedule permitting.  Also, please indicate shared vehicles on entry blank.

Misc. Show info: Beginner & competitor  friendly competition. Special instructional course walk for novices. Lawrence Poulin clinic Monday October 12.

Awards Offered: First through sixth place. Best dressage. High point Morgan. Sportsmanship. Star volunteer.

Food Available on the Grounds: Yes, beginning Saturday morning through Sunday lunch

Directions to Show: From the South Exit 2 off I-89 .Take route 14North toward Royalton to junction with Rte 110. Turn right onto Rte 110. 5.2 miles to Fairgrounds.From the North on I-89 take exit 3. turn left off exit ramp. Take Rte 107 .25 mile. Turn right onto Rte 14 South.toward Royalton. Proceed to junction with Rte 110. Turn left onto 110. Fairgrounds is on Rte110 5.2 miles from intersection. with Rte 14. We will be sharing the site with another group, so  PLEASE USE SOUTHERN-MOST ENTRANCE,  which will be marked.
