HOW TO REPORT ABUSE

 

"KNOW THE VERMONT ANIMAL ABUSE LAWS"

 

Go to www.vactf.org

look under Title 13 Chapter 8,352,365,387

 

• Call your local animal control officer or constable.
• Call your local Law Enforcement Department
• Call the local Humane Society that has law enforcement authority
• Call the Vermont State Veterinarian 802.828.2421
• Contact local sanctuary or rescue.

These people should be able to advise you of what you can do to help the animal.

Take good information,

A description of the animal... species, color, gender, name, identifying markings.

Precise location of the animal.

Include name, address and phone number of owner or owner of property animal is being kept.

* DO NOT STEAL THE ANIMAL
